Kiran Sharma

Kiran Sharma is an Associate Director with KPMG East Africa in Deal Advisory and Strategy Consultant with 15 years’ experience in emerging markets (Sub Saharan Africa and the Middle East) providing transaction support, fundraising and consulting services with strong stakeholder management skills having developed and managed relationships with C-Suite, entrepreneurs, impact and institutional investors.

She is currently leading the sustainable finance practice within the Deal Advisory team focusing on leveraging concessionary capital from donors, DFIs and other funders to catalyse commercial capital for local, impact-focused enterprises to scale and grow. She secured the firm’s membership with Convergence Blended Finance and 2X Global to drive networking, learning and collaboration opportunities across the member networks and build capacity within the practice across the continent.

Prior to joining KPMG, she was at Open Capital Advisors, where she led capital raises for agriculture-focused SMEs across Africa, including Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and Senegal, under donor/ DFI funded programs to attract private capital to local enterprises. She also spent 7.5 years with EY in the Dubai and Nairobi office in transactions and consulting.
