Christine Maina

Christine Maina is the Chief Executive Officer of the East Africa Venture Capital Association (EAVCA), the regional industry body for private capital in East Africa.

With over 16 years of experience across investment, trade and regional market development in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and the DRC, Christine works at the intersection of private capital, policy and economic growth. She leads EAVCA’s work in strengthening the investment ecosystem through advocacy, capacity building, investor engagement and market intelligence.

Christine has played an active role in positioning East Africa as a competitive investment destination by convening investors, policymakers, regulators and development finance institutions around conversations shaping the future of private capital, investment flows and local capital mobilisation across the region. She is committed to building stronger connections between capital, policy and enterprise growth to support long-term economic development in Africa.
