Iain Usiri

Iain Usiri is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ramani Corporation, a leading East African fintech startup backed by Y-Combinator, Flexcap Ventures and Village Global. With a background in Software Engineering and Product Management, Iain holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. He began his career as a Product Manager at Salesforce, gaining valuable experience in the global tech industry before returning to Tanzania in 2019.

Alongside his brother and a close friend, he co-founded Ramani with a vision of transitioning Africa's supply chains from pen & paper to the cloud. Under his leadership, Ramani has experienced significant growth, securing $32 million in Series A funding led by Flexcap Ventures. He has also successfully forged strategic capital partnerships with local and international banks, including Standard Group (Africa's largest bank).
